How To Generate Return Labels?

Introduction

If you have reached to the stage of generating return labels, I’m sure you are all set up with your returns and exchanges portal. Once return requests start coming in from your portal, you need to send return labels to your customers. Creating your return label can get tedious if you don’t have a right solution. With EcoReturns, you can generate labels in just a few clicks. Also, you can define package templates while sending labels to optimize costs. Learn more about package templates here


Steps to follow

Follow the steps below to "Generate Return Labels" in just a few clicks: 

1. Login to your EcoReturns dashboard.

2. After logging in, select ‘Returns’ from the left-side of the menu 

3. Next, you will see the list of the returns and exchanges that your customers have initiated

4. Click on any Request for which you want to Generate Return Labels.

5. On the detailed order page, click on ‘Reverse Shipment/Label’ on top of the page and select ‘Create shipping label’.

6. EcoReturns allows you to combine requests of the same order to generate a single label. Select one or more requests to proceed forward.

7. Incase you have multiple warehouses, Choose the warehouse to which you want the item to be shipped from the dropdown.

8. You can enter the dimensions and weight of the package by choosing a Custom package template. Alternatively you can also choose a readymade package template you have created which will automatically fetch all the required details 

9. Once you have filled the details, click on Confirm/Update

10. You can also Upload your own shipping label by clicking on the link below the button. 

11.  There are two ways you can generate the label: 

  1. Prepaid label – To generate a prepaid label select ‘Paid by merchant’ as your preferred option. Select the shipping carrier you want to use and click on Proceed. 
  2. Paid by Customer – If you wish to send a shipping label link to your customer where they pay for the label, select ‘Paid by customer’ as your preferred option. Select the shipping carrier you want to use. 
    Note: If you want customers to purchase labels from your own carrier account, then you need to integrate Stripe to collect the payment. Contact us if you need help with the setup.
    Click on the checkbox beside ‘E-mail to customer’ and your customers will receive the shipping label link in their inbox. 

12. For the Prepaid label, multiple rates from different services will be fetched based on the carrier you choose. Select a service to Proceed and send a return label to your customer.

13. For "Paid by Customer", a link will be generated which you can share with the customers or if the notification is turned on, they will receive the same via Email 


Generate heavily discounted labels around the world and process unlimited number of returns. If your shopper doesn't have a printer to get the label printed, they can use QR codes and fully configurable package sizes to keep cost even lower.
