Connect your Shopify store on EcoReturns

To use EcoReturns for your returns management of your store you will need to provide access to certain permissions on your Shopify store.

This can be done in 2 ways. You can install our EcoReturns app on Shopify app store or create a custom app with the permissions and provide us the API credentials.


To create a custom app

  1. Open your Shopify Admin and click on Settings
  2. Now open "Apps & sales channel" from the side menu and click on Develop apps.
  3. If you've not created a custom app before you'll see this screen. Click on "Allow custom app development" in both steps. 


  4. Now click on "Create an app"
  5. You can enter the app name as EcoReturns and select any app developer. Click on "Create app" after entering details.
  6. Click on "Configure Admin API scopes" and select the below list of permissions
    • write_customers
    • write_products 
    • write_gift_cards
    • write_orders
    • write_price_rules 
    • write_online_store_pages 

       
  7. After selecting the required permissions, check if you've selected all the required permissions by going to Selected permissions tab and Click on "Save" once verified.

  8. Once you've confirmed your permissions given, click on Install app.
  9. After you install, you'll be able to copy your Admin API access token, API key and secret key. These will be required for smooth functioning of EcoReturns.
  10. You can add these details in your EcoReturns dashboard, along with Store information to add your store.
