How to configure return reasons

EcoReturns makes it extremely easy for you to get started by providing you a list of common return reasons configured by default. However you can always choose to change them as per your needs.

Follow the below steps to configure your return reasons-

  1. Login to your EcoReturns dashboard and click on "Return Reasons" from the left side menu.
  2. In the list provided, you can choose which reasons are applicable for return, exchanges and configure them accordingly.
  3. Choose whether you want to collect photo(s) if a customer selects a particular reason. For example you want to collect a photo when a customer selects the reason "I received a defective item".
  4. You can also Add, delete and sort the reasons according to your needs.


For adding a new reason, follow the below steps-

  1. In the Return reasons page click on "Add New" button in the top right.
  2. Next, you can either select from the "Common reasons"’ on the left or curate your own return reasons. 
  3. To curate your own reason, enter the name of reason, configure the settings for return and exchange and choose whether you want to collect photo(s). Finally hit on "Save Reason" button to save your reason.
  4. To select from the common reasons, click on the ‘+’ sign on the box, and hit ‘Save Reason’.
  5. All your return reason will now be displayed on the Return Reasons page and to your customers according to your configuration.
